It’s jumped about 25-cents a gallon here this week.
Had a jobber tell me “It’s spring and they’re just raising it because they can. They’ll raise it some more on Memorial Day.”

Hear today Governor Ivy signed a bill to raise gas tax $.10 a gallon to be used to repave "all" road in Alabama. And on top of that is that Spring Blend AC870 mentioned.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Ive heard summer blend and winter blend gas one is more expensive. Does anyone know if this is true? Opec cuts im sure arent helping but shouldnt cause that jump. Maybe the “summer blend” is coming out. Summer blend has lower vapor pressure specs, therefore oil companies cannot use as much of a barrel of oil for gasoline as they can during winter. What they lose to gasoline goes to lpg mixes, which are sold at a loss.

Proposed a $ 0.10 increase phased in over 3 years, not passed yet. OPEC with help from others lowered out put by 1.2 million barrels for 1st and 2nd quarters of 2019, that's all it takes for the market to react.

At these prices, I figured yesterday it will cost me an extra $50/month driving to work. Oil is down, correct? Some of the chemicals I buy for production at work have DROPPED $0.10-0,15/lb. Makes no sense to me. Oil has gradually creeped up since the first of the year...Brent closed at around $66/bbl yesterday.

It goes up every year at this time, it will go up more in May when they start using the "summer" blend...
I for one am calling my state rep. and telling them to vote NO!!!!! First once the .10 is fully met it will keep going up .1 cent every two years, when you look at the Federal gov. and they are tossing around a .50 gas tax increase that will make you pay .60 more per gallon, that is $12 extra bucks per 20 gallon fill up....

I’d rather be taxed on what I spend and not want I earned. But like I said before this shouldn’t even be an issue. This tax money like all others will be used for something else once the politicians get a hold of it.
