According to the Officer, the red flags came the day the deer was killed. He said he had multiple stories or tips on the deer that conflicted. I agree the news made it out to be a red flag because it was a big deer in general. From what I know, these guys put in A LOT of investigation time and did multiple interrogations to get a true resolve.

Yeah, especially if you are a guilty of violating the law and they are questioning you about it.

Until it becomes really painful, we will continue to have the poacher problems that we have. I bought 22 acres in 2013 here in North Georgia. It's just been within the last 6 months that I have been able to slow down the amount of trespassing on my place, and I have been in regular contact with the sheriff's office.

One of them actually told me "well, I used to be able to walk that creek all the time". This was after a visit from me, and a visit from the sheriff.
