My son Caleb is playing tonight in the 3A AISA basketball playoffs in Selma. Kingwood Christian Alabaster) vs. Morgan Academy (Selma)

Any of you have kidsto Morgan or play BBall?
Any good place for supper to take the family in Selma?

I've been through Selma numerous times, but have never spent any time there at all.

Hancock's BBQ is just down the road from Morgan. There's not a lot of choices unless you want fast-food.

Eat before you get there then haul azz out of there when it’s over. Do not stop anywhere until you’re at least 20 miles away!

He left out the atrocities which will be administered to his wife by the natives.

Too terrible to mention here...

Go to the Sand Bar, it's a fun atmosphere, good prices and you won't get shot at much. It's just a couple miles up the road from Morgan.

Don't stop at the Church's fried chicken. You will be the only white people in there and the black preacher and his wife will walk in and look you up and down and go "HMMMPH". That's when you realize you're in the wrong place and haul yalls arse outa there.

If I had a kid who wanted to play basketball I'd whip his ass.

Just take a lot of fried chicken with you, it could serve a dual purpose.

That's only because you're an ornery a$$hole. grin

He's a Senior. Was just selected to the NAAPS All American Game. Basketball is a great sport if you can limit the black thug and white thug "baller" culture out of the atmosphere in high school. Normally not an issue in private Christian schools. He decided to go to college at Troy in the fall and see if can get on the roster as a walkon...typical white kid 3 point specialist. Declined offers to smaller D3 and D2 schools out of state.

Selma, Basketball tournament, eating local after dark. I'd suggest leaving at least one son at home so there is a possibility of carrying on the family name.

I hear Monroeville is getting as bad as Selma, bet there's some serious Bball players there.

Hancock's is really close to morgan, but it's not really big and it packs up quickly when a tournament is here. Sandbar at the city marina is good. There's a Jack's close by too. Tally Ho is really good but kinda pricey. El Ranchero mexican downtown, Mi Tenapa, on Highway 80. Valley Grande Mexican is good too just a little north of town. Other than that you're looking at fast food.

As long as you're not going to Lannie's #1 on Minter Avenue at midnight, I don't think you have anthing to be worried about.

I'll be at Tally Ho tonight for a meeting . If you see a rusty yellow 68 Ford flareside in the parking lot, that's me.
