A guy who hunts with me, sat a tripod for first time Thursday a week ago and shot a great 8 around 730 am and sat the exact stand a week later and shot another fine 8 that evening. Our land is clear-cut and these bucks came from the adjoining pines. I think he has found there travel route.

Done the same thing several times. The part that amazes me is that the area doesn't look like a good spot at all. Folks pass it by, and it don't get hunted. Maybe we are on to something here.

Good luck on your next sit

It's literally 150 yards from the shack where we park and tractor is kept, kinda hilly and brush hides us from view but tripod was up on Hill 275 yard shots.

Some of my best spots don’t even have any deer sign. shocked sometimes it just takes sitting in random spots to find hot travel routes

Yeah c’mon. Daniel White

I had a spot last weekend that I missed a stud of an eight point on last Sunday morning. Walked all over the place even brought a dog in to help track and couldn’t find him. I go back there that afternoon since I figured we messed up the area and I wound up killing a huge four point. The next morning I went to another lease and killed a big seven point but I checked that camera this week and if I would have set it Monday morning I would have killed a giant six point. Sometimes you get in the right area it’s can happen like that. I’ve had places that I killed one on fri morning and go back Sunday morning and kill another one. If the right doe is hanging around there sometimes it’s some great hunting

Another crazy deal my father in law missed a big ol eight point one morning and went back to the same spot exactly a week later to the exact time he missed the week before he killed the buck he missed. Sometimes if it’s your time it’s your time

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

One of the best tips I ever got was from a friend who owns a small logging company. When he clearcut a beetle damaged 20 acre tract for me he told me to watch where the bucks cross, it would not change once replanted.Sure enough I watched multiple racked bucks cross in pretty much the exact same trail. They almost always entered and left the c cut at the same points. On the east side the trail led into a fairly open Oak flat that was created by taking out some big natural pines with bugs.Spent a lot of time in there cutting out mid story crap and ended up with about 10-15 acres that is thick as heck from deer height down with almost 100% visibility from 21 feet up.Out of pure luck I also set the stand up about 50 yards south of what has turned out to be a very active creek crossing.Anyway that stand has produced the most deer sightings in a day of any place on the property and there were two mature bucks shot out of that stand 10 days apart this year and six active chases observed in probably six sits.I have no doubt a fella could sit that one stand all year and most likely tag out on decent size bucks. These two died about 50 yards apart.

Nice bucks. Congrats. That's more bucks than I've seen all season.
You drag that one out with a Lawnmower?

It got dragged out with a electric buggy, but a lawn mower would still be better than back/leg power.
