Officially been awake for 24 hours. Still got 40 more minutes to go. I think the longest I ever stayed awake was 30 hours.

Yeah, if you’re gonna stay up the whole 24, might as well keep your rythym and stay awake through the next day. A morning nap will really mess you up.

Right at 54 hours (had probably a 15 minute nap after about 36 hours)

Back in 2001, I worked one Wednesday night 6pm to 6am. Got home Thursday morning to find the water heater tank had split and flooded the laundry room. Had to go buy a new water heater and install it. By the time I finished cleaning up all of the water from the laundry room and replacing the water heater, it was time to go to work Thursday night 6pm to 6am. Got off Friday morning and had to go to Arkansas for a wedding. My mother in law rode with my wife and infant daughter and I rode with my father in law so I could get some sleep on the way. I slept about 15 minutes as we left Mobile and was wide awake the rest of the time to Arkansas.

About 50 hours straight. It snowed when i was a furnace operator and my relief couldnt come swap. Plant shut down. They let everyone go before storm hit. Me and another had to stay to monitor a kiln. But when you work swing 12hr shifts...it was common to stay up for 24 hrs. Thats why i quit lol. You will start to see movement out of your eyes thats not real. Being sleep deprived is a bad bad feeling to me, now i feel rough if i get 7hrs or less. I need my 8hrs

I saw the sun rise 3 times working on a boat in the Mississippi Sound back in the '80s. Started falling asleep while standing at a picking table. Not good.

46hrs last account i had.....there was one more time i was up 50+ i think but i was so mentally and physically tired i dont remember a whole lot. Strange feelin bein up that long...seein the sun come up multiple times....its like your in limbo...you lose track of time..and the one thing i remember most is how much harder it is to breathe...like your chest is heavy an the air feels so thick its like breathin milk.

Lots of folks stay up 30 hours every 4th day for months at a time. They’re called medical residents. They get paid about $18/hr for this privilege. And 4 days off over the entire 30-31 day period.

About 39 hours. Started at 1AM on Thanksgiving Day when I got the call that my mill was on fire. After 24 hours, I was pushing through it but felt like I was in a fog.

I worked on a medic unit in our states capital city for 10 plus years. Always in a busy unit on the west side of Montgomery making 15 or 20 calls in a 24 hour shift. It is routine to stay up 24 hours straight and then get held the next day for overtime and do it all over again. I’d get off and go do some kind of side work either helping someone with a lawn business or painting. By the time I would pick my kids up that afternoon I’d get home and be completely exhausted. Would pass out and get up the next morning to start it again. It can’t be healthy. Luckily I was put in an 8-5 position so I am home at night now. I didn’t volunteer for it but now that I’m there I feel much better. But there are a lot of guys working today who won’t sleep and will get forced to work overtime tomorrow and won’t sleep then either. They’ll get off Sunday and everyone will expect them to be a dad and husband and normal part of the family.

Don’t recall exactly but some where around 40 - 50 hours. After 36 hours or so everything kinda runs together. Took me a week to get over it.

About 20 hours here. I have zero ambition to do that again.

Probably around 36-straight (no napping), overall around 46-hours out of a possible 48.
