I was wondering since we now have so many new Clemson fans that are Auburn fans too as to why isn’t Auburn as successful and a consistent winning program like Clemson. I know these two universities share a lot of similarities like both being located in a small town, rural part of the state, agriculture schools, campus look the same but Clemson has a lake and both are little brothers. So why can’t Auburn accomplish in football what Clemson has?

I don't like Auburn any more than anyone else, but this is a pretty bad attempt at a fishing expedition.
There can only be one national champion every year. That team has been Alabama a lot lately, and if you're in the same conference as them, your odds go way down. They've also beaten us a few times, which is pretty impressive when you look at all the other teams being unable to do so. I don’t fish or troll on the internet. I have a damn good boat to do that in. But I do have three daughters and wife that are Auburn alumni and asked me this question after we watched Clemson beat Notre Dame. Plus after attending countless number of Auburn football games and with myself being on the safety risk assessment staff at the university I was wondering the same thing. Auburn has great facilities and fan support. Successful alumni that donate to the program. Same as Clemson.

The answer is simple. Clemson doesn’t have the Auburn trustees and Pat Dye running the show.

I wasn’t being a smartass to Rem and I apologize if it came across that way. And I can see why he would think that with all the picking we do on here with each other. Plus I was getting a jab in after last night. But I’m not a Auburn hater and have made that clear on here. I’m just a Alabama Crimson Tide football fan and enjoy college football. So in my opinion and observations from what I see is Auburn can and should be a ten plus winning team on a consistent basis. Even though they are in the SEC West with the beast that is Bama. I understand being on top and falling off due to unforeseen circumstances but Auburn just hasn’t been winning consistently.

Fsu fell off the map. Au has to compete vs UGA,Uf,Lsu,aTm and that tall ring wearing midget in Tuscaloosa. Whose Dabo gotta fight over a player? VA tech,ga tech duke the wahoos of Uva? AU's a tougher road to get quality players. Oh and gusbus ain't the answer.

Auburn has never had back to back 10 win seasons in the history of their football program. Chew on that for a minute. They are the model of inconsistency. Actually the last time Auburn had back to back 10 win seasons was 88 & 89.

I think there are 5 or 6 players just from Alabama, including Ross from Phoenix City. https://clemsontigers.com/sports/football/roster/

Actually the last time Auburn had back to back 10 win seasons was 88 & 89. Correct, that was actually the only time. They have been close several times by following up a 10+ win seasons with 9 win seasons. Overall they have 14 double digit seasons in wins.
