I left early from my last day at work where I've been for 3 months (start a new job next Wednesday) and on the way home I drove down to the dam. 14 gates open now and more by morning, I reckon.

Sounded like a bomb went off in my front yard at 3am. I've been up since. This has got to be the the wettest December or record. I can't remember one this wet.

Yeah I'm still up also. Also off work, but have nothing too do lol. You know I love having a metal roof, but it scared the crap out of me this morning 😳

Ive lived in my house in Pelham going on 5 years now, I cant remember a time where it rained as hard as it did for that period of time. Seemed like it went on for 5-6 hours easily.

I know in the Shoals area their wettest December was 18" of rain. That's a crazy amount.

All this rain y'all getting up north I'll see next week....flooding woods and fields when the river gets all it can hold.

Got a 2 acre pond that's over my driveway now havnt seen it do that before

I just put a metal roof on my house a few months ago. The number 1 word around the house this morning is "what?" I'm really paying close attention to the Cahaba River. It is supposed to crest at 36'. The record is 43.

From 3:00 yesterday afternoon until 10:00 last night we got 1" and a half at the Montgomery County farm ranch place.

My Lacrosse view wather station says we got 1.23 in the last hour and 2.83 in the past 24 hours.

please tell me this is some sort of record..or anomaly or sumpthin..

we just moved back here to Bama in May (retired Military). Bought a place with a few acres but had a pond with busted dam. fixed the dam ($$) and put in drainage pipes. needless to say, did all the math on dam size, drainage culverts and the like. this morning both drainage pipes are under water..the water level rose about 15 inches in 9 hours. Pond is roughly 6 acres. gonna put in another pipe if this happens more regularly..

A bunch of rain has fallen here in Auburn. This reminds me of Seattle weather. Dark and rainy.

Hate the rain except I slept like a baby last night. Thunderstorms make for a good night's rest.

It rain till well into the night down here. Ended up with a little over 5" of rain yesterday. It just kept training right over us. Nice day today. Cool temps with a pretty good north wind blowing.
