Which do you prefer, Venom or FF3 ?
Follow up is dot size- 3 or 6 moa ?
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

I haven’t used the vortex, but my ff3 is the 3 moa and I like it
If you want to always win, never play anyone better than you!

Optics Planet has the 536 5x red dot sight w/free FF3 3moa for $359. Just pulled the trigger on that deal.

I've owned both. Started out with a FF3 and it lasted 1.5 seasons before I started having issues with it cutting in and out. Sent it back to Burris and they sent me another. It too lasted ~1.5 seasons before it succumbed to similar issues as the first.. Not fun having sights go bad during the middle of your season. Burris once again replaced it. I sold the new one and bought a Venom. I do like the brightness adjustments better on the Venom. After using the Venom for a little over a season, I slipped while crossing a rock bottomed creek and fell right on my Venom. Sent back to Vortex and they replaced it within 2 weeks even though it was completely my fault! So I've been through 3 reflex sights and haven't gotten more than 1.5 seasons of use off of any, ha. But the Viper at least didn't malfunction on its own. Fortunately both companies have excellent customer service.

I did the exact same thing to my venom last year and Vortex replaced it quick with no questions asked.

Picatinny rail or is there a better mount for the vortex? On my 870 20ga I use a rail that I've mounted on the vent rib. I like it there cause, when holding it ready to shoot if I got to adjust the brightness I can just move a finger. Not whole hand, having a lot of movement. Which on my ecotec on mr. Browning I've had a couple birds see the movement. Those 2 times it was a quick set up and wasn't really able to get the brightness set right. I believe sumtoy has a mount that actually protects the vortex.
if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF
