We all see the post asking for a dog to help a hunter find a deer. One of the guys from around our area is William Crawford. He trained my son's dog Daisy a few years ago. I cannot tell you how pleased we are with the results. Daisy is no Tank, William's personal dog, but has found close to 30 deer. Most of them didn't really need her but it was great experience for her. She is getting better every track. Here is William's thoughts on tracking dogs; http://themanagementadvantage.com/home/blood-trailing-dogs/We hope you enjoy it.

What kind of budget do you need for a program like this? I'm not sure what the prices are now and I'm sure they vary greatly. Daisy was with William for 4 months. He boarded her as well so you have to take that into consideration. She was worked and trained everyday. Just something that I couldn't nor had the expertise to do. I will say, for me it was worth every penny. The hardest part was being away from our pup for 4 months. My sons loves his dog. I think the favorite part of his hunting now is when someone shoots deer. He loves tracking with her. I think he would rather do that than shoot a deer himself. At our club now when a deer is shot, unless it's just dropped in the field we put Daisy on it just for the learning experience for her and William (which happens to be my sons name as well). Howard

William had my chocolate lab Gunner also for 3 months. Very pleased. William is a great guy. When did he have Gunner. I think I remember seeing your dog. He uses our farm to train on occasion. Howard

I used William last night to track a deer I shot poorly with my bow. He is a great guy and works real hard. He does a great job. He works hard at everything he does. Very good guy. Howard

Hey youre the real hojo right? Under a new name? Yes. It's Howard. I did the TMA account separate from my personal one. Just to keep things a little cleaner.

What kind of budget do you need for a program like this? We charge $700/month. After 3 months you will have a finished pup. We are filling up fast for the spring.
