There is a lot happening in the world in the news and even in our communities. But if we read the Bible and then read the news and look around us we find that the news Of today had already been written.

From 2 Timothy 3 in the New Testament

I am reminded though as to why Jesus came and why I will celebrate His having come and His coming again. He is in control, provides peace and salvation to anyone who repents and believes in Him, and is presently preparing a place in heaven for all who belong to Him. There is real hope in Jesus Christ!

How does Christmas have any thing to do with Jesus? Jesus would have nothing to do with the celebration of a pagan holiday

If youre talking about santa clause and elves and flying raindeer, then ok, because thats about what its come to. But if youre talking about the day we recognize as the birth day of our Lord and Savior, who is our only hope in this life and eternity, I believe you are dead wrong. Jesus was all about giving all glory to the father, we should all glorify Jesus every day but especially on the day our hope was born.

The conversation was about Christmas not Jesus birth. Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus birth. Check out the origin of Christmas. And see if Christ would be involved in it

Check out the second chapter of Luke. Theres no santa but im pretty sure what is being described there is what were celebrating on Dec 25. You can call it what you want to or say it really happened whenever you want to, but this is what my house is celebrating.

Never doubted his birth. But Santa and all other Christmas things have nothing to do with Jesus.

My kids know theres no santa. They also know who Jesus is and what he did for them. They know he probably wasnt born on dec25 but thatz the day we celebrate his birth, the birth of our hope. We do what we can to make it about love and giving to others. I understand where we are in this country but you cant expect people to think about God on Christmas if they never consider him on the other 364 days. So, what do we do, just forget abou it all? God forbid. We press forward trying our best to do it the right way.

I sincerely complement you on ur thoughts on Jesus. My point was that Jesus, the originator of Christianity, would never have been involved with all the pagan non-Christian traditions that are rolled together into a holiday that is supposed to honor him.

I'll bite. How do you know Jesus would have never been involved in a celebration of giving??? Jesus was God's gift to us so that through him he understood the human condition. Our perils, struggles our joy and our pain. Through him he granted us his Grace. Christmas is when we celebrate that.
