They are just cutting trees as fast as they can. Probably never even seen them.

Loggers are everywhere I recently found a skidder sitting in 35' of water on the Warrior River in Walker Co. The new technology of fish finders is amazing.

Cutters on our property destroyed cemetery grave sites and individual sites. One cemetery was flagged, and there were no pines in the area. Supposedly there was a Revolutionary War
soldier buried there in the flagged hickorys.
They cut 100 year old white oaks to get 12 feet of the trunk. They left the rest of the
tree on the ground.
Ruts are so deep in our SMZ's that there is continuous standing, stagnant water.
This goes back to a previous generation that agreed to a timber lease to have money
after retirement.
Don't know what you can do, but hate f"ing loggers.

That is terrible.
I understand production volume is important to stay afloat from their perspective but having respect for people/property is absolutely important.

I knew a guy who was a logger and he was an ahole.

Farming too. Hunters rut up roads, throw out trash and piss of neighbors. Folks wonder why they can't just pull up and get permission then call the father an asshole for saying no to them. Reason why

Have almost never had a good experience with loggers.
The only ones I have seen done right and left the area and roads better than when found it were from a company with their own timber crew. They fixed all the roads, did water bars and turn outs and graveled the bad spots. The rest have done very crappy unless the landowner stayed on them.

Currently I could fill a 16 ft trailer with all the bad tires and empty 5 gal buckets and oil jugs left behind we have found thrown off in the woods, rolled down into ditches or covered in limb piles.
Oil changes done out on the ground. Some were done over small brush piles then with old filters and all burned. On property behind locked gates and no other access way off the main road have had skidder trails on a thinning job go right beside stands and later found the cables or locks cut with a torch and stands gone.
Had a miles worth of old power poles from a dead line the power co had came and pulled up and gave to us when they left. Those disappeared. Culvert pipes disappeared. Old gates or posts out thru the property gone. Cross ties gone. Had a hill well outside of their flagged boundary going out thru a long kudzu patch we just the yr before had finally gotten a dozer rented and side cut the hill and deep crowned the road so it would last a long time. Skidder for some reason ended up out in the kudzu patch and with his blade down went down the road and took all the crown off the road filling in the ditches. Was no reason for him to even be out there and dang sure no reason to blade it flat.

Yep! That is why I use bright orange ratchet straps on all of my lock-ons (and ladders for that matter). I also wrap the tree with the excess to make it as visible as possible. It may not make a difference, but then again, it just may. I know it has saved me in the past.

I also put a little piece of flagging a couple of feet above my cameras if they are in an area I think may get visited by the crew.

A good forester gives the hunt club advance notice. I deal with several who routinely email me ahead of time and include a detailed stand map. This way I have time to secure stands, cameras and other valuables before loggers show up. Good communication is key.
