I prefer to bow hunt out of a climbing stand but getting tired of carrying on my back. What's your favorite method: climbing, stalk hunting, fixed stand, shooting house, and why?

Climbing stand by far. I have several ladder, lockons with sticks and a tripod that I move around each year but I usually end up just hunting them once or twice. I have stands out that I havn't seen in 3 years. The fun of hunting deer to me is trying to figure out what the deer are doing now and the best way to get the drop on them. I would say that I hunt 80% of the time out of one of my Lone Wolf climbers (I have 3) .

Stalk hunting but age and bad knees make it harder every year. I’ll keep going until I can’t

Scaling a tree 20'-50' up sitting on a limb no bigger than my wrist.

Stalk hunting and/or sitting on ground in a chair or on a dove stool.

Dog drives.

My bow out of my Lone Wolf climber because I’m normally hunting a virgin spot over some fresh sign.

I’m liking ground blinds more and more.

I like stalk/still hunting more than anything ... but since I’ve only been successful once ... that tells me I’m not very good at it

If we could still get enough land to hunt with dogs, that is the favorite way to hunt to me.

This season I’ve done much more stalk hunting and have enjoyed it. Seen way more deer in the areas I’ve hunted.

It depends on one’s stage of life or how you feel that day.

One of my most effective is sitting in a millennium tree seat just off the edge of a bank with a piece of burlap strung in front of me overlooking a bottom. The work involved after the shot makes it a non-favorite these days.

I’d say my favorite is shooting a young doe point blank from a shooting house over a green field with the truck nearby.

Stalk hunting at the FloraBama several nights a week many years ago. Man this Island was a blast growing up on.

^^^^^Hunting with dogs and walking heads with friends is actually my favorites, just dont get to do that much anymore

X3 I grew up dog hunting,but I always thought it was called dog hunting because we spent most of the day hunting dogs,but what fun we had in the 4WD's.

Whatever type brings him home is my favorite.

Stalk hunting was all I knew, even though I was in a stalk/ dog club..but now was son is into hunting he loves hunting with dogs.. can’t beat that sound of dogs getting after a deer
