I wouldn’t panic just yet. My cousin dropped a deer off this January and picked the finished mount up in September, great work as usual.
I had a “previous” taxi (not Charles) take 4 yrs to finish a shoulder mount, so I can sympathize with your situation. Dropped it off in January with Charles? If that is so, that would be a problem with me if I had one there over a year and he was giving other people back theirs in 9 months time. Yeah, sounds like more reason to panic to me...like maybe there's a lost rack involved.

I am no longer accepting commercial work from anyone and no longer located at the now defunct Chopping Block in West Blocton. However, if you are the owner of a completed piece or you are waiting on a piece to be completed you can still pick it up there. I will do a limited number of mounts this season on a first come first serve basis. To the members of this forum who have supported me over the years with the opportunity to mount your deer, THANK YOU! It means a lot and I won't forget it.

You've had his deer for almost 4 years and all you can do is offer to ship his antlers to him? Well just what do you suggest timber?? You and nobody else on this forum except for me and Big Al know the unusual circumstances surrounding this deer. I'm willing to let it be and I'm fairly certain Al understands.
