I stumbled across this today while I was at the Peanut Festival. Is anyone a member? They are associated with GOA but specifically on a state level.

I'm not a member but if you are interested, I can get you in touch with someone that is. I also know they have a Facebook page too in which they can be contacted through.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I’m a member. They are lobby on the state level for changes to Alabama gun laws. Have worked for several years to get constitutional carry passed in this state. They also work to help spread the word about what gun laws actually say, and advocate for gun owner rights.

I hope they weren't responsible for that idiotic open carry law!

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

No, when it got stupid, they walked away from it. The folks at Alabama Open Carry got us what we have now

Actually I have a flyer from Bama Carry. Open carry has been legal before Alabama was a state per the flyer

Very good. That was my point. And sounds like they took the same common sense stand.

Yep, a lot of folks think we have laws to tell us what we can do.

Actually, we can do anything we want, and the law is supposed to keep that in check and tell us what is prohibited.

Open carry has never been prohibited under AL state law, but a lot of folks - LEOs included - seem to think if that laws doesn't say you can do something, then you can't, or it's illegal.

Stop right there, young lady, and drop your pants!
There's no law that says you can wear pants!

what is your opinion on the Self Defense Fund program that they offer? Ive always kinda looked negatively on those types of things but they look like they have a good price included with a years membership. think its $89 for one year BamaCarry and SDF membership.

I’m a member, joined to support their lobbying efforts. Was supposed to get a gun trust but never did.

It’s not open carry per se. Its a proactive gun group (almost like a lobbyist) affiliated with GOA that represents Alabamians.
