Looking for anything you've had that worked successfully for you or your kids. I have a 7 year old that has it pretty bad sometimes. Keeps her awake sometimes. Thoughts and ideas?

My daughter is four and has had it bad since she was a baby. What has helped her the most is using dandruff shampoo instead of soap, apparently the zinc helps clear up dry skin. I know I'll.get laughed off the site for this, but... I've had it bad at times myself and the best thing I ever tried for immediate relief was a few minutes in a tanning bed. Hope your daughter gets better soon.

I have a close friend that has it bad......really bad. He swears by tanning beds.

one of my daughters has it pretty bad. steroid cream is bad for you in the long run. We use fragrance free soaps and detergent. Put a coat of aveeno baby eczema therapy night balm on before bedtime. it's worked great for us.

New cream has came out called eucrisa. Non steroid and is safe for kids. Most on here will snark at medication however I have seen some excellent results. If you were closer id give you a sample to try. Tanning helps

Only accurate rifles are interesting.

My daughter had eczma pretty bad. My wife read the book "It Starts with Food". This is the book that started the Whole 30. Well, anyhow, we started eating the way the books says to eat. 7 days later my daughter's eczma was gone. That was almost 2 years ago. And haven't had any sign of it since. These food manufactures are putting some messed up stuff in our food and it is affecting these kids. I really think all these food allergies that these kids are having these days has to do with all the chemicals and preservatives that are added to food.

There's no cure for it. I've had it since I was 8 I'm 28 now. Had it on my lower back where your pants ride and between 2 of my fingers . The heat irritates it the real cold weather irritates it I used lotion to keep it from itching because of dry skin. When I was younger it looked like a burn on my back but I could get in a pool and it'd be gone for the summer. I eventually put grew it for the most part now I only get a flare up from extreme weather changes or it's really hot or if I'm in very cold weather but it's not pain like when I was younger except the spot between my fingers because it's always being messed with when you move your fingers or wear gloves. My SIL and my brother has it and their daughter has it. Just have to keep lotion on it and mind the heat when my niece is outside because it'll cause hers to flare up like mine use to
