All other things being equal, what's the best of these places to see deer in early season? In the thick nasty stuff where some acorns are dropping. Out in a tall grass field with very few trees and some lanes cut in (usually used for quail hunting but always a fair amount of sign there). A tree stand in a pine thicket by a road that I often see some tracks on.

Or is it even possible to answer given that information? I'm a beginner 2nd year, haven't killed one yet) so I'm really unsure what to do but really excited to get out there and try.
