Well let's just say there maybe a bottle of Buffalo & Beam that's somehow disappeared since Friday evening That Clyde May’s stuff is garbage. I'll have to try it when i get back to camp. I've tried the May's, just not the 110

If Buffalo Trace is "some of the worst chit [you] ever tasted", I think it's time to consider the fact that maybe you just don't like bourbon.... What he said.

My whiskey taste is varied. I like some Scotch and always have some a couple of good bottles on hand, but, my everyday is Turkey 101. That is quite the line up, I have a couple of those in my cabinet but I haven't had the pleasure of trying the van Winkle, is it as good as every one says?

Made and Old Fashioned with it tonight. I think I will try Bulliet next. Which one should I get? I'm about halfway through a bottle of bullet and I like it pretty good... When it runs out I'm gonna get a bottle of four roses but WR and turkey 101 stay in the cabinet.

The Van Winkle is very good. I like the 12 year. It is very smooth. The Pappy is actually stronger and a not quite as smooth to me. It is more like a scotch. You feel it in your nose as you exhale. That bottle is about to be replaced with a new one as you can see. Where do you get the van Winkle? I have looked at the ABC store but I never see it there..

I know two int he Birmingham metro area, I think their is one in Huntsville, one in Mobile and one in Montgomery that get them when they are released. But, it is usually hard to get it even from them. You have to buy it on the secondary market. It helps to have a friend that owns a bar and buys a lot of alcohol. They get slipped bottles by the reps.

Finally bought a bottle today. I will say its pretty good but it's definitely not Blanton's. Give me some others that I can try that will be as good or better than Blanton's. I sold spirits for 10 years, we had a little sayin', they're all good it's a matter of taste and budget. That said Basil Hayden's has a lot of rye in the mash and has a good smooth taste front to back. Another post noted Woodford, dang good whiskey, Larceny is another. Also saw Sazerac Rye mentioned, one of my personal favorites, Bulleit Bourbon or Rye is a good choice. Very pricey another off bourbon choice is Redbreast Irish. For me, no mixers, just six or eight cubes of ice let it rest a couple minutes, water actually releases more flavor, just my .02.

Currently enjoying a couple of orphan barrel bourbons that are outstanding. I don’t power drink bourbon generally so don’t mind paying a premium for a nice bottle. Wish I had some of that Pappy tho How do you get them to stick to the wall like that. LOL! photobucket isn't working for me, and it was always too difficult. Tried the Tiny Pic out, was easier, but guess i have some figuring out to do. Will need to get this straightened out before deer season pics of our 4k lease. Can't wait!!
