Cool, your $85k King Ranch actually costs you $65K. What a deal!

Im as happy as a pup with two peters. Paid $3000.00 for it. Got it from a 70yr old man who had it 14 years. Alot of folks wouldnt have it because it aint the newest but I happen to like that model truck pretty good. I hope I can get another 100000 out of it.

That's a good deal on an OBS especially it being 4wd and 130k miles even if itts a gasburner. It'd been 13k if not more if it was a diesel and you go by some of the prices on a 7.3l. I've had several offers on my 99 xcab 4wd 7.3 manual 4wd of 12-14k but know for a fact that i couldn't find one with all service records and maintence that i do to mine for under 18k. Then I'd still be leary not knowing how it was treated.Congrats. I couldn't have walked away from that buy if everything checked out. I'll be in the market next summer/fall for a crewcab z71 produced no later than 07 and hoping the prices aren't crazy like they are now. I'll still be keeping the superduty tho. I don't want a payment as I've not had one since 08 so I'll be throwing cash at whoever the seller is when I'm looking at a new used truck to me. A wad of cash at a sale makes it in your favor sometimes.

No, there's nothing wrong with having things you want.
Just live within your means.. If you can't afford it at 48 months, then you can't afford it at 84 months!

When the trans went out in my 2005 f150 back in May, I started looking for a truck. Found one and actually went to look at it. 2007 f150 fx4 with only 83K on the clock. Beautiful truck black/black and was I tell you clean as a pin inside. Only driven 3K in the last two years. Guy was in military and when title was issued it stated true mileage. I compared clock with what title said. This is where 90% would leave it. It was salvage. That don't bother me as I have been around them for the last 30 years. With the $2400 I was going to spend on my trans and cop/plugs install, I had nearly drained in my account. Only a handful of credit unions will loan money on salvage now. Not enough left to put down on truck to get it at 50% loan value. Truck sold for $11K. That was one that got away.

I have a 2007 Chevy 2500HD Duramax. Leather/ power everything 4X4 with 280K miles on it. Its in average plus to good condition. Kelly Blue Book says its worth 10- 13K. Was thinking about trading up to a new one as I put a lot of miles on them. Hard to believe thats all its worth when a new one just like it is 60K. So now I don't know to trade up or not.

Dang, if I can get that much for my truck, I’ll sell it in a heart beat. 2010, F-150 super crew, 4X4, leather, power, chrome package, 177,700 miles. I have a few guys at work that ask me all the time about buying my truck. I’m willing to sell it, but I’m not giving it away.

Let gas get up to $4 dollars a gallon again and watch the bottom fall out.

I feel pretty good about the truck I bought last week. I had a 2015 f150, crew 4x4 that was almost paid for but had to shed b/c of life events. I started looking a month or so ago pretty hard and finally found an 06, crew F150 Lariat 4x4 with 132K on it locally for $8500. It's been adult owned and well taken care of. I was able to pay cash for it and I like it about as much as the 15 model I had.

With 87 octane being $1.00 cheaper.
Of course, I wish gas was cheaper yet but paying $2.40 for a gallon of 87 octane in almost the year 2019 isn't bad.

I run premium in the Silverado. That 5.3 doesn't like this low octane corn liquor.

The 5.7 in my 95 Tahoe doesn't care. I think it will run on cooking oil and beer.
But the 5.3 is 15 years newer and a lot more hard to please.

That's true. I've tossed a partial can of ready run 2 stroke chainsaw fuel into the K5 before. 305 won't win any awards but I can't complain.

I went through the same thing a few months ago. I was looking at used 3/4 ton trucks both gas and diesels we’re through the roof. I couldnt believe what people were wanting for their trucks with 100k miles or more. I looked off and on for several months and ended up buying a new one for less than most of the used ones we looked at.

I guess I'll just grit my teeth and bear it in 3.5 years. I'll just buy what I want and make the best of it.
