I was on a plane from Bham to Atlanta ( connecting flight there to Orlando) when the first tower was struck. Couldn’t believe how quiet the airport was when getting off the plane. Remember seeing people gathered around each tv looking on in disbelief. We actually were boarded for the connecting flight when the second plane hit. We were then informed that all flights were grounded and the airport was closing. Chaos insued, no vehicles left for rent or hotel rooms available. There was a group of my coworkers together as we were headed to a company meeting. The husband of one of the ladies in our group worked at a dodge dealership and his boss sent him in a passenger van to bring us home. I’ll never forget the the raw emotions I felt that day, it carries over to this very day. No mercy for those that did this to our country and those that continue to hate our country/people!

I was at the house watching the news...working from home. When the second plane hit my wife and I knew this would be a historic day. The Pearl Harbor of our generation.

I had just worked off a 12 hour shift at the hospital. Got home and cut on the TV. The first plane had already hit. While I was watching wondering how this could have happened (thinking it was still an accident at that point) the second plane hit. Knew then of course that it wasn't an accident.

I had just dropped my daughter off at daycare. I called my Mom since she worked on Eglin AFB and I was afraid military installations may have been targets. She had gone to my grandparents briefly to drop something off. When she got back to the base gate they were turning everyone away with a tank and real MPs with guns....not the rent-a-cops they have now.

Doing lawn care a few blocks from the stadium when a student stopped to tell us. Finished up real quick, when we got in the truck we listened to Peter Jennings for over an hour. Stopped for the day, went home watched what was heard on tv. It was a strange feeling I’ll never forget. At 4 something went to my night job to deliver food it was so busy cause nobody wanted to leave home

I was about 4 hours away from leaving to head to Birmingham and jump a flight to Toronto Canada. Wound up watching it on TV all day.

2nd grade, we we sitting in class when another teacher came in and told my teacher somebody had flown a helicopter into a building in new york. A few minutes went by and another lady came in and said it was 2 jets....she was white as a ghost ill never forget it. They herded us all to the library and we sat cross legged on the floor and watched the news until we went home. I was 8 years old and ill never forget that day.

I had worked night shift. When I got up I logged onto our home PC (old AOL dial up days) to check in here. Saw it on the AOL main page and cut the TV on just before the second tower collapsed.

I still get a tear in my eye to this day watching those towers fall. I wished we had picked out three of the bigger cities in the Middle East and dropped a nuke right in the middle of them over that attack.
