I’ve never had issues with ticks or Mosquitos. Don’t have any idea why but folks around me in the same area can get eat up and I won’t have one bite. Can’t explain it

Go buy permethrin concentrate and find the directions for mixing it up for clothes. Dip your clothes and let air dry. It will hold up for about 6 washings. Don’t use the dryer. This is the first year I’ve done it and I’ve nit had any ticks, chiggers, etc. I used the leftover dip in a spray bottle to refresher after a few washings ^This ^

Can’t explain it Im right there with you...and I've never been told I stink. Even by my wife who is the most honest woman on planet Earth. My wife and I can sit on the patio and she'll get eaten alive by mosquitos, while I'll not have a single bite. Similarly, I don't recall ever having a tick actually latched on to me and rarely even find them crawling on me (I use permethrin anyway though). I'm convinced some people's chemical makeup just makes them more or less "attractive" to bugs like mosquitos and ticks.

We have all done things we shouldn't do/not done things we should've done. If you want to spray down for ticks/bugs, then do it. I personally have spent a crap load of time im the woods since toddler age and have never had ticks on me. Maybe certain places in Alabama are worse than others... It only takes the one bite to change your life though. Like Timbercruiser, I know a few folks who really suffer due to Lyme disease. They're nowhere near as bad up here, but I still treat my clothes when I'm headed to the woods. I truly hate ticks.

Tick is the most dangerous living creature in the south. For those who don’t prevent ticks you better start.
Permethrin is the ticket. Deet don’t stop them in the least bit. THIS

I got too much blood in my alcohol system.... They'll eat me up if I don't spray down....I use deep woods off and spray it on heavy and they have never bothered me.

I use Permethrin on all my dogs and typically get it all over me when I spray them down good. Ive noticed mosquitoes wont even touch me the rest of that day. So with some deductive reasoning I started mixing some permethrin in my bottle of deep woods off and have had the best luck with this of any thing I have ever tried. Deet is good but will wash off when you get sweaty. Permethrin will stay on your clothes and remain effective. I went to this new method after I got hammered by chiggers and ticks at our club this summer. Since using my new concoction I have yet to receive a bite of any kind. Highly recommend it!
