Wow! Now that’s a bowl of stew. And looks like some more hot work!

Been sitting around holding my 7 week old baby girl most of the day.

Went to Alaska. We go somewhere different every July 4th since moving back to Alabama eight years ago.

Cool on the 160-year history 300gr.

Had some friends and family over and the smoker was going. Some of them spent most of the day in the house where it's cool. Some of them hung out with me in the carport with the smoker. And most of the kids spent a lot of time in the pool. We're all full now and the mess from supper cleaned up. There's still about 20 lbs. of meat left over and a buncha baked beans, watermelon, cantelope, tater salad and sweet tea. Gonna be fireworks in a little while.

That’s a lot of Brunswick stew, looks good! I spent the day pushing fire lanes, could have used some of that stew, had some crackers for lunch.

I shampooed the carpet in the living room. It was a wild celebratory event.

I got called in to work this morning at 4:15. Worked in the dang heat till 2:30. Bout had a heat stroke. Came home, took a cool shower and a nap. Happy 4th ya'll.

Dang that is a big ol' pot of stew, how many gallons is it? We always make Camp Stew, not that big of pot tho.

Had a pizza/pool party for the kids and watched the city of Opelika Fire work show last night. We watched from a buddies place across the street from the football stadium. Excellent view of the sky divers and a great firework display.
Then had a “staycation” at the Marriott at Grand National. Great Resort style pool, that the kids love. You can definitely forget you’re in Opelika. I had to work from 7-12 this morn, and met them out there for the rest of the afternoon
Then came home and then grilled ribeyes, fresh hand picked corn, and avocados.

I did some bush hogging and grilled some ribs.

Did some weed eating, but mostly just bummed around and rested.
Been going at it hard for quite a while now.

Went after the American Red Snapper

Worked this morning, lost too many hours to rain this week, took a nap after lunch. Watching tv now.

My brother quit his job, so I asked him if he would come up and help on the cabin build. He's been working with me since Monday morning. Hopefully we will most all of the ship lap up before we leave.

It's good to have a master carpenter helping.

Worked and ate a chitty steak tonight

Slept late,,, got up smoked some ribs,,,, surfed the net some ,,,ate the ribs,,,, got dark and went and watched the fire works in downtown Mobile with my brother.
