Anybody know of or seen ms-13 in Birmingham area? I have heard police say so, but they will claim every Mexican they arrest is a member even though they are not a Mexican gang. But, I have not seen any proof. I’m not saying they are not there, I just have not seen any.

Wasn’t there a quadruple homicide of some Hispanics at some apartments off Hwy 280 10 yrs or so ago attributed to gang violence? Seems like I remember it being reported they were all stabbed or tortured to death. That was Mexican cartel. I know the sister and brother in law of one of the men convicted of it. That was a result of a theft of some money from the cartel.

I know a family from El Salvador. The patriarch was an officer for the losing side of the civil war they had back in the 90’s over political reasons. He basically explained to me that it was socialists vs Democratic conservatives and the socialists won. He was granted asylum after the war and was naturalized as a US citizen last week. It’s great to see a man and his family devote that much time and energy to become part of our country. I haven’t asked him, but I would bet my last dollar he is more adamant about illegal immigration than the stereotypical border wall advocates. You should ask him, and if so, encourage him to be more vocal about it. I'd think that a lot of immigrants who "did it the right way" would/should be resentful of illegals who are just handed everything simply because they were able to sneak in. If a white guy speaks out against illegal immigration, he's a racist...I'd like to see more Hispanics speak out against it and see what they get called. It's a damn shame what our justice system has become.
