Hmmmm......that land sounds like US steel land. 15 members at $2000 each is $30,000.00 for 2400 acres? That is >$12.50 per acre. That is a lot for Jefferson county. I am in a club in Greene county. We have 3800 acres with a great lodge, fishing lakes and huge green fields with a sportsman condo on each field. Fall and summer planting. 13 members and $2250 per year. I would ask if the club has an "open book" accounting system where all credits and debits are open for review. Just my take.
Hunting brings out the worst in people.

Just my take. the land in question is USX land and is worth as much as any land in Greene Co for big bucks.

I have no idea what they are paying for the land.
I hunted the same land(and more of it) for ten years for free. It had very few deer to start with. After 10 years of protection and minimal management, mostly trigger control, the place had an abundance of mature and over mature bucks. Genetics range from not so good to damnthatthingishuge. We killed maybe 3-4 bucks a season, no does, off 7000 acres. A big handfull of over 150" bucks, some well over. A lot of it is real open kudzu patches not favorable to bowhunting, but it has Cahaba River frontage and clearcut edges to bowhunt along. They killed a 140" buck last season there.

There’s definitely some toads on that property. I’ve seen some have friends that work for the railroad that see them regularly. We’ve hunted land that touches it and killed some good deer and seen giants.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
