Just like the title says. Been looking at getting maybe a kit with the drill, impact and saw. Anyone care to comment the best deals.
Mostly random use around the house. My old drill has just about given up on me and thought I could use the upgrade.I noticed some dont have the battery/charger.

Thanks for any help.

I have used the Ryobi 18V tools since 2004. I upgraded to the green lithium tools two years ago. I have been very happy with their reliability and performance. I purchased a Skill set before switching to the Ryobi in 2004. The Skill set last me about 3 months. Then all the tools started to have problems.

A friend of mine has them and is a GC. Been very happy with Hitachi. I saw Lowes had their Hitachi set on clearance. I love my 12v Milwaukee stuff due to size and weight. I also use the 18V Ryobi stuff for bigger needs and been pleasently surprised with the performance.

If you get a 20v lithium ion set do yourself a favor and grab one or 2 extra 3amp batteries with it. the 1.5 they come with are good on a drill but won't last very long on a sawzall or circular saw

Have Ryobi with no complaints, but would seriously consider Rigid with their lifetime battery warranty if starting over.

X5 for dewalt 20v tools. Have the drills, saw all and circular saw. Add the 4 amp batteries and you will be happy.

I just got a Lowe's father's day flyer in the mail and they have the DeWalt 20v max 1/2 inch Lithium drill/driver with two batteries and charger for $99, heck of a good price.

I use kobalt at home and they do a good job. At work we use the dewalt xr and there awesome.

Get a Milwaukee set. Dewalt is good with the exception of the drill. And it is fine too Ive just had trouble with the drill itself wearing out quicker than everything else in the dewalt sets. Either way both will go above and beyond household/hobby use.

X6. Desalt is the best thing going nowadays. Makita was neck and neck with them, but they’ve slipped some the last few years.

I shop at lowes mostly and I've got just about every tool that Porter-Cable has in the 20v lithium max line and haven't had a single issue with any of them - home use, light wood working stuff, etc. At the time when I started buying them a few years back, it was much more affordable than the Dewalt equivalent. The Dewalt stuff has gotten much cheaper lately - even though I've had no problems with the PC, I'd probably go with the Dewalt if I was buying all new stuff today.

I have got a lot of the Milwaukee 18v stuff and absolutely love it. Nothing but kudos to Milwaukee for their products from me. I actually decided to go with Milwaukee over dewalt because of reviews.

Thanks all, It seems easier to find some of the dewalt combo deals on sale. I suppose they have more of the market share.
