in November, just wondering if anybody had some suggestions on a smartphone. I currently have an AT&T iPhone 3G and like it pretty well, but am open to anything. Any likes/dislikes on a Droid or an iPhone 4G (or any other type of phone)?

BTW - never take your iPhone out of the PROTECTIVE case and then drop it because it is not PROTECTED anymore. Yes my screen is busted up pretty good! Good thing I can get a new one soon!

You ought to go ahead and tell everyone that your phone cover is pink too while you are at it. You gonna get you a new pink one for your verizon phone?

If I could afford a Verizon smart phone I think I'd get the Droid you can use as a hot spot.

yea i was looking at a Droid Bionic but all the reviews said that they had really short battery lives but you can buy a larger battery for $50 but not sure if this is a good route

Son and wife have droid x2. They are o'k, but I like my Thunderbolt better. It's 4g capable and the others aren't.

I have the iPhone4 with Verizon, I love it. Works great with my MAC too.

I'm real happy with my Droid X although I really don't use it for much more than a phone unless I'm away from a computer for more than a couple of days.

I can see where battery life could be an issue if you are costantly using the phone all day.

I will say that I bought my new phone from a store here in Deland, Florida that is owned by Cellular Sales of Knoxville. They have about 400 stores and their customer service is awesome from the guy that sold me my phone to a different guy that upgraded my wife's phone a month later to the lady from their corperate office that called to see if we were satisfied with our purchase and could they do anything better.

I think they have 5 locations in Alabama.

looking at that Casio...about the same screen size as an iPhone, can take a 32G SD..I will see what else I can find on this one.

EDSKI, I dealt with them (in Huntsville) when I had Verizon the first go around. They seemed like cool people and were always helpful.

Battery life seems really bad on some of the newer phones. I actually like the droid x2. I always have access to a charger so its not a issue

I'm doing the same thing in December. Unless I change my mind I am either going to get the Iphone 4 or Iphone 5. The v5 is rumored to be coming out in the fall.

I went from AT&T to Verizon in April and went with the Thunderbolt by HTC. Best Phone decision I ever made. Check into it.

My brother in law works for them and works on the iphones projects. We talked about it this week. He said as far as he knows the new phone being released will be a somewhat upgrade 4. Not really the 5.

I had an iphone but AT&T pissed me off so I switched carriers. This was before Verizon started carrying them. I have an HTC Desire and love the android platform. It is tough on the batteries but you can adjust the system settings for things like screen brightness and such to get a much better life out of it. To be honest, the only time my battery runs out quickly is if I am surfing the web and have the gps enabled at the same time.
