How do Turkey Hunters occupy their time during the off season? I'm new to the sport and look forward to obtaining knowledge from everyone.

Wondering why we hunt turkeys in the first place and trying to find more places to hunt.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

I like all the answers. I also spend my time counting down the days til next year.

I love turkey hunting, but it doesn’t consume my every thought until March-May. Elk hunting is like turkey hunting on steroids. I’m going on a moose/elk/bear hunt this fall. I’ll shoot some dove, take pictures of some deer, go on a rabbit hunt or 3, and maybe a duck hunt or 2. Other than that, I’ll drive and fly the country watching cheerleading, gymnastics, soccer, and dance competitions.
If you want to always win, never play anyone better than you!

Reminiscing the seasons past and hunts with friends/family; playing with the guns and fine tuning/making changes so it’s ready come go time, accumulate more calls from custom call makers, prep for bow season as I really enjoy bow hunting as well. Load ammo for deer season and play with guns in general burning powder.

I do a little of all the above. Mostly try to love my family like there’s no tomorrow. Never know when these gifts will be taken away. Enjoy it fellas.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I usually like to beat the ol lady, chase married women, and ride around town blasting Hank Jr loud enough to piss off the democrats.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.
