Catfish is an funny thing - when it’s fresh and done just right fried catfish is hard to beat. When it’s not fresh, or breaded/fried wrong though, it’s not hardly worth eating . Or muddy river cat vs. pond raised or the Vietnamese crap vs. pond raised.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Batter up in childersburg is supposed to be good but I’ve never eaten there. It is a catfish restaurant though. It’s on 280 in the old whiskers catfish location.

Didn't realize there was a Cock of the Walk here in the state. Grew up often eating at the one in Natchez and Jackson, MS. Hands down the best catfish I've ever eaten.
No help to you, Stray, but worth a mention for you guys down around Eufaula.

Yep the Cock of the Walk is located across the street from Gander Mountain at Tiger Town Auburn, Opelika Haven't heard that name in a long time. The one in mobile has been gone a long time, and man i sure do miss it...
