Stranded on the side of highway 53 near Ardmore. Tow truck on the way. This is a 2015 with about 60k miles. Hit a pothole pretty hard about 2 miles back but nothing really out of the ordinary for these parts. The truck was acting like it was down shifting and then up shifting so I started to pull off the road and lost all power. Now it will not crank at all. What could be the cause of this? Know anybody good out towards Ardmore/harvest/Madison/Huntsville? Is the truck not still under warranty?

Hard bump threw the fuel cutoff. It is designed to keep gas from running out in case of a collision. There should be a reset somewhere on the firewall.

Hard bump threw the fuel cutoff. It is designed to keep gas from running out in case of a collision. There should be a reset somewhere on the firewall. Clint, If the fuel cutoff is activated, it will simply run out of gas. I don't understand the shifting up and down part of the problem though. I think the shutoff switch is in the glove box on several types of vehicles. Since the truck powered down after hitting the hole, you may have activated the cutoff. All it needs is to be reset if this is the problem. Good luck on the fix. Keep us posted as to the remedy. Mine has 136,000 miles and I just replaced the brakes. I tuned it up at 100,000 and It has been trouble free.

Correct. I still (incorrectly) refer to it as Diehl, mainly because that's how the number is saved in my phone. Donnie is the only one I've ever dealt with.

How would fuel pump cause shifting issues?

I think what I may have been interpreting as shifting issues was the truck sputtering from lack of fuel. Hopefully they are correct.
