I think I would have checked that spot before the season was open and I would have more than one spot.
Work prevented me from doing any scouting. I do have a back up spot even tho I doesn’t have the turkeys like this spot had before.

I wouldn’t let a few hogs and a clean power line ROW get me that worked up. There are hogs on every acre of the WMA at some time or another throughout the year. They actually created more nesting habitat by setting back succession for the next couple of years. I agree and I have seen pig sign in this area before, but nothing like it is now. I guess it’s just discouraging I’m gonna give it another shot in 2 weeks and see how it looks

If the hogs are active in the area they more than likely will keep the birds pushed out but as mentioned they'll move on and the birds will return especially if theres a good browsing and bedding area there.
