Im just glad they aint hogs in etowah or blount co but i do remember when there wasnt armadilla either and now theys a bunch

that license argument is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard from the dept.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

If you have hogs, you'll always have hogs unless you shoot more than 70% of them each year.
Chuck can lick my root.
If you wanted to get rid of them, wouldn't you have to "shoot" 100% each year? And couldn't you trap them, or use dogs?

From what I read, of all those listed, Alabama is the only one that doesn't allow hog hunting at night and over bait during deer season. I also like how the DCNR provides an 8 month sanctuary on WMA's for pigs to breed and thrive. I'm sure neighbors of those WMA's really appreciate that.

If you wanted to get rid of them, wouldn't you have to "shoot" 100% each year? And couldn't you trap them, or use dogs? 60% is the breakeven number to maintain population. 70% and up, you can actually reduce the herd. Once you pass 70-80%, they will usually go elsewhere.

From what I've seen, he's mostly right about that. Night poachers, road warriors and master baiters seem to be the majority these days.
