I’m not the most mechanical guy in the world but I can do a little. Thought I’d ask y’all for a bit of advice. I want to remove the old round flasher from the dash of my Triton TR19, mount my HELIX 5 flat in that spot. Any tips on removing flasher? I’d like to put that carbon fiber film on my dash but dang sure don’t want to remove dash. Advice?

My TR 186 has an old X48 (I think) Lowrance in the dash. It doesn't work. It's got a couple tabs on the back that have screws going into brackets either made into the dash or attached with screws. I haven't looked that closely at it yet. I'd like to put my Helix 9 there but it would cover up my tach and speedo. Think I may pull it out and make a plate out of some aluminum I have and mount some additional aux switches or maybe the jack plate gauge there when I get one

I always prefered a flasher when running. It's closer to real-time. You could be sitting high and dry before a graph shows you are getting shallow. Maybe the new ones are closer to real-time.

This flasher don’t work. It’s just there.

To access the flasher remove the windshield and then the black plastic cover in front of console and you come in from behind the unit.

It should be a u-shaped bracket. You loosen one or two nuts and it comes out easy.
