Most home owners insurance won't cover guns, jewelry etc etc. Who actually has a insurance policy on their guns?

Most HO policies have a limit of $2,500 or $5K with a per item limit of $1K.
You can "schedule" items on the HO policy for higher value pieces, get a separate personal articles policy, or check into the NRA for a firearms specific policy.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

I spoke to my State Farm agent who said I needed to get all my guns appraised and he could then write me a separate policy to cover them fully less my deductible.
Not sure how much an appraisal is to cover 12 guns. Sure it isn't free.😁
