Joe4majors OP 14 point Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 6,617 Lake View, AL	The end of last summer I found a go kart frame online that I couldn't turn down ($25). Figured it would be a good project my son and I could do together and teach him some basics. I never had a go kart as a kid so it was a learning process for me too. More or less got it done in time to test out this past weekend. The brakes fell off within 5 minutes , but otherwise it did great. We kept the throttle as low as it would go and kept him in large open areas. There is a chance I took it for a joy ride myself. First time the throttle cable was attached (no helmet, but also no chain) What's left of the brakes...

I think my highlight of the weekend was yesterday evening when it occurred to him that he hadn't spent a single second on a device the whole weekend.
