I’ve never had an iphone, but my Ipad and Galaxy cell phone have otter boxes and they have been great.

I like the LifeProof cases. Watertight and have a smaller profile than the Otterbox.

lifeproofs have failed me for water and dropping. while otterbox is not waterproof, it's more durable.

Have used nothing but otterbox for the past several years. The last time I upgraded and the girl at the Verizon store took my old phone out to swap over my contacts and photos and the otterbox crumbled into literally about five pieces. She looked at me and laughingly asked if I would be needing another case. I chose another otter. It aint water proof but it has taken everything else I have put it through without even a scratch to the phone.
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

I always get the slimmest thing I can find. Phone cases drive me crazy. It's ridiculous to me that we get the sleekest phone, and put these huge bulky cases on them. I also haven't ever had a problem dropping my phone, so I'm sure my time is coming. Yeah, you'll probably drop it later today.... And yes I agree about most cases being too bulky.

It really depends on your lifestyle. I would recommend an Otterbox for anyone that is in construction or an outdoorsman. I'd also recommend insurance!

We've been the insurance route. Never again. I think the deductible is like $200 and lots of run around. Not to mention the monthly fees. I'll take my chances. Open this card, receive $200 sign up bonus after spending $1,000 in 90 days, use this card specifically to pay the phone bill thus getting the cell phone insurance. Card has no annual fee. "you will get up to $600 in coverage against damage or theft. The policy is subject to a $25 deductible and a maximum of 2 claims per 12 month period." https://www.valuepenguin.com/wells-fargo-cash-wise-visaPuts $200 into your pocket and gives you the cheapest insurance option

I've got a liveproof nuud and tempered glass on iphone 7+. I've dropped it numerous times and has been dunked a few times with no issues. if I were getting a new one I'd probably go with a pelican. it was a toss up between the two and I went with lifeproof, because of some issues with the sound tunnels in the pelican (which have supposedly been resolved).
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....
