I am a freshman at Auburn University and was wanting to turkey hunt the Tuskegee National Forest. I'm not looking for anyone to tell me where to hunt at all or anything like that, but is it worth even hunting there? Has anyone had any luck there, if so, what time during the day and what part of the season? Do the birds gobble or are they more silent? Also, how crowded does it get? I may even be able to get out in the mornings on Mondays and Fridays, how crowded do you think it will be during the week?
Also is there anything special I need or need to know when I'm out there. When you look at a map of the place there is the National forest boundary and then there is the National forest land that is shaded in green inside the boundary. I assume you have to stay inside the land area. Are there signs or some kind of way knowing if Im on the land or not?
