Oh yeah, I averaged 5-600 a year for almost 40 years of it and for most of that used zip ties no knife but that's a whole lot different than climbing in that tight fitting trap with one

Hoggin I hunted all over the south east got to old and just got Over it I guess you could say. I never got close to 600 a year but I took about 300 a year off folks places. I tried the zip ties I had nothing but problems with them. I would look back and dang hogs would be jumping over the side of the truck splattered off the roads you name it.. how in the heck do you get them to stay on? It aint like the hoofs hold them.. I first tried them about 95 when I was really working farms and Everyone Said they used zips when you asked them but no one could SHOWme how they kept them from coming out. Id cut their feet about slam off trying to keep them in. Even duck taped over them but heck might as,well just use the tape..I got a few pig now and want to play with them Not really hurt them moving them but I dont like Hobbling them by myself with tape or dog collars Something like zips would be fast but I dont want to cut them to the bone moving them around. Because I still got a few of my hog hounds Id like to keep in shape for the bay pens

I used hobble straps on the front legs and zip ties on the back above the knee, never had any issues.
I'm to old, broke up and busy for it anymore but I used to be pretty hard on'em. I've caught/killed hogs in just about every place in the world they live
