They been kind of hinting at it off and on for a while, now they're telling him he has to shave.
It's not like he has a full blown moustache, just some dark fuzz on his lip. He's 13 and says he's
not ready to start shaving. I don't think it's any of their business. This is a private school by the way.
What say ye? I can't believe some of the schitt kids wear to school these days. Long pants, no shorts, no t shirts except for certain school event, boys couldn't have long hair or facial hair in my days. Boys wearing earrings would have had their butt kicked before they could walk in the door. Be happy the school has some standards and doesn't allow the kids to wear a bone in their nose.

What say ye? Private schools can make you do anything they want. I attended one my whole upbringing. If you weren't clean shaven, they would provide you with a one blade razor and tell you to take care of it or you were going home and getting counted as an unexcused absence. It may not be popular, but you signed away your kid's rights when you paid tuition and signed that contract.

I had to shave with cold water, a dull razor and no cream one day at Morgan Academy in 8th grade. It was just Mrs C being a total bitch. It hurt when I strapped my football helmet on a few hrs later too.

I feel like Fred on this one.
I know once he starts shaving it's just gonna get thicker, etc....
13 just seems young to start that.
Was hoping to finish out the school year before it started.
Gonna have to look in the handbook I guess.
Hair doesn't actually get thicker once you start shaving.

Why does he get butt naked when he poops??? Mystery of the Universe. I just don't see where the hair on his lips is so obtrusive. But yes, it's in the handbook. "Facial Hair is unacceptable". I told him he's gonna have to shave it.

I look at it differently. Glad he can grow one, but those idots that have fungus all over their face and nut scratchers on their chin need to shaving wrong with being a clean cut young man. By shaving he will cause it to come back heavier and thicker. Pick your battles, let this one slide.
