And one has almost 2oz of #5's or about 40 pellets. only real way to know is run em down the pipe with your choke of choice and start counting and looking for pattern density and poa/poi differences.

won't know till you shoot them both. But if you can only buy one get the 1 7/8 just cause it is a bit faster. But my gun shoots 3 in shells better than 3.5 in. so bigger isn't always better.
