Anybody got one? Whats your opinions? Im looking at the T394 cab and just feel like something has to be wrong at that price point.

Price? It have a Perkins motor? I think those Cabella tractors were TYM. I don't know if they sell them anymore. Parts and filters may be a problem if the dealer isn't close to you. It is well known brand.

$2200 with FEL, geared. This one has a YanMar motor which doesnt really worry me, a lot of brands are using YanMar now. My biggest fear is the cab, is it trash or does it actually create a comfortable environment?

We have JD with a yanmar motor and cab. It could be a TYM painted green. What kind of warranty does it have? That is a great price. I would set in the seat for a while to see how comfortable it is. I found that on a lot of the compact cab tractors, a lot of things are in the way.

Pretty much anything you want to know about any tractor made.

Dealing with it on the front end is an aggravation. What you need to worry about is parts availability on the OTHER end. It's not like a pair of boots you wear out and throw away.

10 years or more from now, if you can't get parts for it, you don't have a tractor.

You have a fishing reef.

Think it can't happen? Ask the people who bought Belarus, IMT, Farm Trac, Montana, Branson or other brands.

Even if you can't afford it, buy a John Deere. It will be an investment and you will be very pleased with it. I bought a 38 HP three years ago even though we are tractor poor. I got tired of using one of the big tractors to do a small job in a tight place. It is paid for, and is now our go to tractor. It is used at least once a week and the big crabbed tractors sit until time to feed hay every three days.

I am looking now for another Deere just to bale hay with. It will not be an off brand tractor. I have no problem paying extra for something that will be here still running when I am dead and gone.

I can't stand a thief.

My grandad and Dad use to be the dealer there in Crossville. Also sold zetor.
Yes they are good little tractors. Perkins motor. Strong little Tractor. I own the last TYM that sit on the lot before my grandad passed away.

Unless your credit is absolutely terrible, just go ahead and finance a kubota or JD and be done with it. If you decide two years down the road the payments are too much then sell it for basically what you paid.

If you really wanna go bottom of the barrel, then look at Case or New Holland. They are a big enough company that wont be belly up in a decade, and you'll pay less for one of their tractors. But it ain't no jd or kubota.

I would buy a well used JD or Kubota before I bought an off brand tractor. Like said above if you can't gets parts you don't have anything.

You may also want to look at Mahindra. They are getting established to the point that I feel they are going to be around for a while.

My BIL bought an LS, I told him not to buy an LS. MY BIL seems to spend as much time taking in for warranty work as he does using it. However in the past few months he does seem to getting more use per repair lately. After 3 years BIL has stated he would love to get rid of said LS tractor, at this point he'd lose so much in value I doubt he will get rid of it.

Buy one of the Big 3!

I would check out a Mahindra however, I think they are a Massey basically.

I don't think ANY new tractor purchased in today's market is going to last 40 years. That's not happening with these new ones.

However, as stated earlier parts availability is key. If you can't get parts for an off brand.... it will be sitting in the junk yard before long. Tractors and other heavy equipment have issues and they break down... that is guaranteed. As long as you stick to an established well know brand with a dealer network I think you will be safe.

That advise has been given by others and I think you need to seriously consider it.

Deere has historically made better business decisions than the other manufacturers. I never have thought they made the best tractor but they are the best at running a tractor company. There is no doubt about that in my mind. They also historically haven't left their customers hanging on parts availability. I put a lot of stock in that. And I own a Deere.

Kubota is also well run as a business and probably equally reliable at this time. They have established a track record. And I own a Kubota.

Mahindra is next in line. I think they are establishing a good foothold. Don't own one.

I think you are going to have trouble here in Alabama with Case and Agco just because of lack of dealers. And Agco in particular is just about a jumbled up mess of tractors painted different colors for different dealer lots, etc. It is hard to keep all their equipment straight.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Came is making a BIG Play to knock JD out of the top. Had an accountant for a large local operation tell me they CAN'T ignore what Case is offering.

Ford's old tractors were solid and one can still get parts of them. A friend just ordered starter for his 1977 7700, I hank he said is was $140.00 new.

Heard NH was gone in a year or 2 if someone big didn't buy them. Also said Agco had something about to hit that is a game changer?????????

There is several levels of tractor now with the Big 3, got to compare apples to apples etc. for a fair comparison.

I get it, I just refuse to go into to debt for a tractor when I have the cash. Pretty much the exact same tractor is double the price for a JD. My dad swears by Kubota, used his until I finished school and bought my own place last year. My Grandad swore by JD, I guess it always come down to money and I have a hard time financing something when I don't have to.

You might find something in a Yanmar that you'd like. They are TOUGH tractors.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Obviously I'm a big John deere fan. That said, I wouldn't buy anything newer than 2009.
That EPA garbage is drastically shortening the life of new tractors, and nobody but a rocket surgeon can work on them.
I'll never own anything that needs exhaust fluid, either.
