It isn't the long drive that gets me it's the damn traffic on 65 that makes me MAD!!!
When I think back to how bad I thought the traffic was in 1993 when I first started working in and around B,ham, to what it is like now it blows my mind how much worse it is now, I will be glad when they get done with the extra lane from hwy.52 to Alabaster, of course by the time they get done with that it will need to be done all the way to Jemison..
The end of democracy and the defeat of the American revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporation's Thomas Jefferson. 1812

I65 needs 3 or 4 lanes from the tenn state line to where it runs into mobile bay!
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I drive from Arab to Albertville every day. It’s about 45 miles round trip. If I had to choose between more miles and less traffic or less miles and more traffic, I’ll take more miles any day. I’m convinced I have a case of road claustrophobia where I get a suffocated feeling driving in traffic.

I drive from Owens Cross Roads to Brindlee Mountain every day, and can mostly avoid the traffic. I'm driving away from Huntsville when everyone else is pouring in, and coming back to town when everyone else is headed home. I enjoy it.

I'm driving away from Huntsville when everyone else is pouring in, and coming back to town when everyone else is headed home. I enjoy it. I wish that were the case with me. I think people in Albertville still have the small town mentality and it is still a small town there’s just a lot more traffic coming through and they drive so dang slow in the left lane. You can’t pass or get around anybody. I drive a lot in the left lane and my wife always gets after me about it. My argument is, I’m usually driving faster than anyone else so I’m always passing people. There is no reason for me to hop back and forth between both lanes. If I have someone come up behind me who clearly wants to drive faster, I move over and let them by. And if I’m on the interstate when there aren’t many people out I’ll drive in the right lane. The part that chaps my a## about Albertville is while there is a lot of traffic in the morning, it isn’t bumper to bumper or even where it couldn’t flow with people easily doing 60 mph. Sorry to rant lol
