Do you have to pay for the permit? If not, I'm not sure I see the purpose. It only applies to those who have shot their limit of bucks and documented each one(ie. Those that are honest). Why would this be limited to WMAs? Why wouldn't all hunters have this opportunity?

give them bucks away, esp on public land. We got plenty. I thought we just lowered the buck limit....
Is the hunt open to ONLY those who have already killed and reported three?
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

There are certain management areas you can hunt on certain days and the buck doesn't count toward your limit. I can't remember which ones or the date but I'm sure somebody can find it.

I’m not sure what the reasoning is behind the “bonus buck” and why it’s only on certain WMAs. Cahaba has a bonus buck day on Jan 27th and if you kill a buck on that day it does not count towards your 3 buck limit. I’ll be hunting that day and looking for #4 but he is gonna have to be as good or better than my last buck.
