There are some good ones in north alabama. Not sure the drive from smith lake. But I believe Shane Smith is the one whose work I've seen online. Heck of taxidermist.

Well that's definitely not typical. I'll drop off at the end of one season and generally get birds back during the following season.

Just make sure you see some representative work on any bird or cat mount prior to picking one. Very few taxidermist do even a decent job on either.
