I'm just glad to see somebody use "loose" properly.

I work on fork lifts for a living and have seen people take a permanent marker that is easily visible and put a straight line across each lug nut and the wheel so they can see if they start to back their selves off the stud. I have also seen those on semi's and wondered what the purpose of them was.

They set them in a certain direction so they can just walk around and look. If one is out then they check that lug. Appreciate all the answers... now I know!
