Ok, so it's pretty obvious that Coon isn't on top of most of our favorite lists, so what is? Not specific cuts, but which animal? Pick only one.

Beef
Pork
Poultry (includes Chicken, Turkey)
Venison (includes Elk, Moose, etc.)
Upland birds (Turkey, quail, pheasant, grouse, etc.)
Duck/Geese
Critters (Coon, Possum, Nutria, Rabbit, Squirrel, etc.)
Seafood
Fish (yes, I included fish. It bleeds when you cut it)
Whatever I left off

Can't pick just one. I eat a lot of chicken because it's cheap, good protein to support my workouts and can be cooked a million ways. I would never pick it as a favorite though. Beef is fantastic. I love venison. Duck is special to me. Seafood a treat. I know, you said only one..... so let's see.

I really do love a good steak. And by that I mean a great steak. Some of the best that I have ever eaten have been bison steaks in Montana. So, I guess that's my #1.

Got me thinking that this. Brought up some stuff I haven't had in a long time. I would say squirrel.

Venison is number 1. We actually prefer to eat stuff we have killed and caught vs store bought meat/fish. Not always possible though

Yep, it's hard to choose just one. Right at the moment I'd have to go with Beef. There are a lot of things you can do with it and it can be pretty good in almost any form from burgers to a thick fillet mignon. 10 years ago, it was without a doubt venison.

Fallow steak and oysters would be a close race for me.

Venison followed by beef and fried turkey breast and fresh caught smoked scallops for the seafood snow crab legs in at close second.

Beef overall but snapping turtle has been the best I have had. Smoked with made from scratch rub with a pineapple ring on top. Turtle soup is good as well.

Brisket. If you saw the Young Sheldon show about not giving out your smoked brisket recipe, that is close to the real truth in Texas.

I like a good steak and if duck is on the menu, then odds are I'm ordering it.
