I'm a big ground hunter and prefer it to tree stands in hilly terrain. I have always used regular folding lawn chairs. They are lightweight, very comfortable, easy to carry in with their sling bags, and have arm rests. But it seems like everyone is obsessed with these tree seats. What am I missing by not having one? They look less comfortable, heavier, more bulky, and way more expensive. Someone explain the advantage to me. Other than being quieter when moving around, I cannot see an advantage of a tree seat over a lawn chair.

I would say they're a lot lighter than a folding chair and they handle my 300 lb arse a lot better than the standard folding chair.

Hammock seat is the lightest, most compact and comfortable of those. I've been hunting with one for a few years and only thing I got against it is the material is very cold when temps drop, ya need a chill pad between you and it on cold days. Mr. Cliff did you order from their website or somewhere else?

Actual a buddy bought a couple at the Deer show in Bham few years ago and I bought his extra.

I like the bag chair. It's easy to transport and lightweight, very comfortable, and sits up higher than the turkey lounger(which is a big plus for me).
