Broken Arrow OP 4 point B Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 578 Milton fl	Ammonium Nitrate is hard to find in my area, but can get Farmers Favorite Ammonium Sulfate (33-0-0). If I were to apply it a couple Days ahead of Rain , would I loose much Nitrogen to the air ? (I Cant spell volitation ? ) I found information for Ammonium Nitrate volitation , But want to know about Ammonium nitrate.

Fuzzy_Bunny Booner Joined: May 2012 Posts: 12,481 Pike County, AL	Be careful, ammonia nitrate and ammonia sulfate are not the same thing. Sulfate lowers soil pH and soils whith a high pH are pretty uncommon in food plots.
