Looking for some info or tips I can get on hunting a wma looking at going to black warrior or chocolocco. I've never hunted wma I've got everything i need just any pointers for hunting one will be appreciated. And also has anyone ever camped in the camping sections of the wma?

Besides just looking for natural mass with poo . Track the roads on the back side of the blocks where the entry points are . Look for running deer tracks leading away (escape routes) from the hunter access points . Set up and sit longer in the am and be there early in the pm in these areas .Let the other hunters run them to you . ^^This - I had places on Thomas (now Freedom Hills) and Lauderdale WMA's that I used this very well, especially on the primitive weapons hunts when there was a ton of people there.

Thank y'all! I'm looking to going next Sunday and try it out I'm from Blount county and out of places to hunt local to me so public land is where I'll have to try!

What little time Ive been on them, Id go Black Warrior. Turkey hunting is a toss up between the two.
Im not sure you have to go deep all the time based on following JDBowhunter76 on here.

I agree with AUwrestler! On Choccolocco, go in far away from where you see others park or do as I do and park where I've never seen anyone else park.. Deer are there but you won't find them on the end of a cut road where a lot of other hunters stop.. You gotta get in them woods!!
