Awww. He lost his breeder buck from his little play pen. I'm soo sorry. Next time maybe don't build a fence, just hunt the deer God gives you, like the rest of us.

I know the guy that owns the pen. I've known him most of my life. He's a good guy. It's a fairly large farm that's fenced. He bought it to take customers of his business hunting.
Story I got was that the fence was cut, then wired back together. If that's true, that's stealing, plain and simple. I hope the truth comes out.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Doesn't matter if you agree with pen raised deer or not. If the buck was taken from the pen like the owner claims, then that is a major problem, and the man who took it should be punished to the full extent of the law. Well I don't guess we know the truth either way. If it was killed off of his land, or someone cut a lock to open the gate, it should be dealt with accordingly. If the deer escaped from a poor excuse of a high fence and got shot, it's just tough luck, I guess.

Discussion now in Serious Deer Forum about high fence. Are these deer private property or state owned?? How should they be regulated? If private property, then theft of property. If state owned, then hunting without permission. not all the time. I know of a fella that killed a tame fenced buck and got life in prison for Felony Theft.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Now wait. As I've stated in the other thread about high fences operations, I know nothing about them. I have read though how these deer are just as wild and sneaky as free range deer. How then did a fellow orchestrate such a crime as to cut a fence, find the sneaky deer, convince him to come outside the fence, wire the fence back together and then shoot the deer?

If state owned, then hunting without permission. not all the time. I know of a fella that killed a tame fenced buck and got life in prison for Felony Theft. He got life because it was his "3rd strike.". They just need to decide what these deer are, private or state. Private = not wildlife. State owned = should be free to roam and hunted by all. I don't care and won't affect me. But make a decission.
