Well, I live 5 mins from it, but won't make it this year. The wife has scheduled us a Gatlinburg / Cades Cove trip Fri-Sun. Past couple of years the weather was cruddy, maybe it'll be good this time.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

Yeah, as far as camping, I'd advise to get a motel room in Oxford (it's about 15/20 mins away). And regarding the 3 or 4 point on one side rule, just know this place is 56K acres of mostly big rolling hardwood ridges....the deer density is below average, so don't think you're coming to Barbour Co WMA!  I know this sounds like typical advice, but I have killed many "average" bucks up there, and the two tricks are: 1. Get WAAAAAAAAAAYY off the main road. Find a roadbed and get to steppin. 2. Ideally, find cutover somewhere. This just helps me narrow down where a deer might be since it would be a bedding oasis in the middle of miles of hardwoods.

You are probably right about entire area.
Interesting conversation I had with a GW Sat. I said I wonder why they chose Nov 4/5 for a special hunt when it's usually still not cold around here. I said wouldn't it be better later in Nov or even Dec?
He replied, if it was in Dec it wouldn't be much of a special hunt cos there are other gun hunts in Dec!
I about fell in the road..So your saying there's no other gun hunts here in Nov beside this one so this is somehow a "special one"!?!? wow I don'tget what you are saying, there are 6 gun hunts on Chocc in Nov and Dec. This is a "special" hunt because its before regular rifle comes in.
