I like some midwest whitetail. Bill Winke is a wealth of knowledge of killing big bucks. Another i just started watching is called The Hunting Public, its all on YouTube and its a couple of younger guys who mainly hunt public land in the Midwest, mainly Iowa.

I quit watching them. What gets me is when they shoot something and go retrieve it they act like a bunch of little girls, laughing, shaking hands and all the other silly stuff they do.

Every time this subject comes up I have to wonder what the average age of some of you are??? Because only old boring @$$es would watch some of the crap y'all say "but such and such show is good!" Pigman? Pigman???? Jim Shockey??? Babe freakin' Winkleman???? And somebody always has some off the wall, never heard the name before show or personality that can only be found on Amazon. WTH???? Who watches that crap?? I feel like I'm listening to old people telling the kids to "turn that rock 'n roll crap off!" And then you say, "Now Fats Domino, THAT'S real music!!!" Get outta here with that lame@$@# crap.

Most of the shows y'all give the thumbs up to aren't even hunting shows, they're just "outdoors" with some weird guy who'd rather talk about how to prepare venison (it's deer meat, dammit!) or survive on berries and creek minnows. It's like they never show a kill, but Lordy they're gonna have a 15 minute segment about how to smoke a deer quarter on a campfire. Dafuq???

I've noticed y'all like anything "low budget", but disdain anything otherwise. "Hey, y'all watched that such and such show on YouTube where the guy films himself with his cell phone? That's an AWESOME show because he doesn't advertise products!!" Again, Dafuq????

This reminds me, there is a guy I used to watch because he is about the only person to have a show that shoots traditional. His name is Eddie Brochin. Good hunter that I think films his shows with one of those early digital cameras that looks similar to when Bama played on Raycom regular D. Anyway, he was fun to watch but he lost me a little when he did a staged karate fight with a fake trespasser rofl rofl

I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. Theres a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts. Ronald Reagan

Can't stand to watch any of them. Every one of them is one giant advertisement. I understand the need for commercials and sponsors to pay for the show but it's way out of hand. It's like watching the Home Shopping Network with a 1 minute excerpt of a hunt thrown in.

As if people don't watch ANY television whatsoever because there are advertisements. EVERY show, period, is ONLY for advertisement...that's literally how money is made in the television world. You either pay for subscription TV, or see commercials. Nobody gets paid to hunt.

The average TV programming is approximately 15 to 16 minutes of actual programming per 30 mins, the rest is commercials. This whole charade is like saying you won't watch Bama games on CBS because they run 2.5 hours of commercials. Your excuse is invalid.

This is all about the "they are ruining hunting by shaming people for killing small bucks" mentality." Period. The same people who spout that stuff are the ones who don't like hunting shows.

there is a huge difference! a regular tv show isn't promoting in between commercial breaks. also, on a regular tv show, you watch it because of the story AND the characters. on a hunting shoe, you want to see animals die without all of the wannabe rock band queers promoting every imaginable product.

Sorry EHH, I don't wear or own hunting shoes! Are yours camo? rofl

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

Exactly. Ive had to post on this every year as it seems people dont understand that TV, ALL TV, from News to football..has commercials.

IT IS HOW YOU GET TO WATCH ANY TV..the commercials pay for it!
Without commercials youd be watching a BLACK SCREEN..as there would be no money paying to BROADCAST the show.

Simple economics. It is freaking expensive to do tv. VERY expensive .

When I edited TV we are alloted 28 minutes 30 seconds on our time line for the 30 minute show.

We had to sell TWELVE 30 second commercial spots which take six minutes. 3 TWO minute blocks with 4 commercials each.

The network fills the extra 1 1/2 minute left from our 28 1/2 minutes to fill the show to make it 30 minutes with their commercials they sell.

EVERY SHOW on tv, from freakin Oprah to the NFL has to sell commercials to pay for it.

I hear alot of you bitching about people wanting things for free...how nothing IS FREE..but now you want FREE TV??

Ever since you first watched TV as a kid..the commercials have been there, and they will always be there to off set the cost of you being able to sit in your house watching a football game LIVE, filmed 1500 miles away, with a dang signal coming from a multi hundred of million dollar satellite in FREAKING SPACE.

What, do you all want the government to provide it for free like Healthcare? And Tax us all to do so? Or let the free market provide it to you at THEIR expense?

I watch a lot of outdoors shows. I don't really have any particular shows I like I just flip through the description of the show and record any hunting in the south east and what ever else catches my attention. Some are good some suck, but it's better than watching re runs of Big Bang theory or the news.

The only hunting show I like is Relentless Pursuit. If you like bow hunting or primitive hunting, it is a must see show. What person in their right mind throws a spear at a water buffalo these days?
